ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "PEPSUI," is studying a new program designed to help people who have a history of suicidal behavior. The goal is to teach participants about suicidal thoughts and feelings, as well as effective ways to cope with them. The program includes group sessions where participants will learn new strategies from well-established therapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These skills aim to help individuals manage their emotions, tolerate distress, and find meaning in life, ultimately reducing suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be between 18 and 65 years old, have experienced suicidal thoughts or attempts in the past year, and be able to understand French. They should also be willing to give their consent to join the study. Throughout the trial, participants can expect to engage in interactive sessions, gain valuable knowledge about their condition, and develop practical coping skills. This program is an important step toward improving mental health support for those at risk of suicide and ensuring they receive the care they need.
