ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how certain genetic factors and other variables affect pain levels after surgery. Researchers want to understand why some people experience more pain than others after they have an elective surgery, which is a planned procedure rather than an emergency one. By studying these differences, the goal is to improve pain management for patients in the future.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old and able to provide written consent, meaning they understand what the study involves. They should also be scheduled for an elective surgery. However, individuals with cognitive impairments, which affect their ability to understand information, cannot participate. If you join the study, you will be asked to share your experiences with pain after surgery, helping researchers learn more about the importance of genetics in pain management.
