ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how raising the head of the bed can help people with a condition called autonomic failure, which often leads to high blood pressure when lying down, also known as supine hypertension. The researchers want to see if by elevating the head of the bed, they can reduce the amount of blood that returns to the heart, which may help lower blood pressure without the need for medications. This could provide a simple, non-drug solution for managing this issue.
To participate in the trial, you need to be between 18 and 85 years old and have autonomic failure with supine hypertension. The study is looking for both men and women of all races. However, certain people are not eligible, including those who are pregnant, medical students, or anyone with serious health issues like heart problems or a history of certain illnesses. If you decide to take part, you can expect to be involved in an investigation that could lead to new, effective ways to manage your blood pressure while lying down.
