ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how to better manage pain for adults undergoing tonsillectomy surgery, which is the removal of the tonsils. The goal is to create a system that allows patients to go home the same day of their surgery, rather than staying in the hospital for several days. This approach aims to make patients more comfortable and reduce medical costs associated with longer hospital stays.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be scheduled for a tonsillectomy and be between the ages of 18 and 75. However, those with certain conditions, such as bleeding disorders or allergies to the pain medications used in the trial, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive specific pain management treatments during and after their surgery, which will help researchers understand the best ways to support recovery at home. This trial is currently looking for volunteers to join, and their contributions could help improve future care for patients undergoing this common procedure.
