ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Long-term Observation of Participants With Mood Disorders," aims to understand the ongoing effects of depression, bipolar disorder, and suicide risk in adults who have previously participated in mental health research at the National Institute of Mental Health. Researchers want to see how these conditions evolve over time and what treatments people are currently using. Adults aged 18 and older who consented to a specific earlier study are eligible to participate.
Participants can expect to take part in two phases of the study without any in-person meetings. In the first phase, they will complete online surveys that take about 30 minutes and cover their current feelings and treatments. Afterward, they can choose to participate in a phone interview, which will last between 1 to 4 hours. During this interview, they will answer more detailed questions about their mental health. It’s important to note that participants can skip any questions they prefer not to answer, and their responses may be linked to previous research records. This trial is currently recruiting participants and welcomes individuals from all backgrounds.
