ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on preventing thoughts of suicide among teenagers in Nigeria. Researchers will create a support program that addresses individual needs, relationships, and broader social issues affecting young people's mental health. They plan to test this program in 15 secondary schools over a period of time, where some schools will start using the program while others will not, allowing researchers to compare results. The goal is to see if this comprehensive approach can effectively help students who may be struggling with suicidal thoughts and to find out what works best for implementing and expanding the program in the future.
To participate in this trial, students must be between 10 and 19 years old, currently enrolled in school, and willing to give their consent along with permission from their parents or guardians. There are no specific health conditions required to join, but students should be committed to staying in school for at least a year. If eligible, participants can expect to take part in activities aimed at improving their mental health and well-being, while also contributing to important research that could help many other young people in the future.
