ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how the size of the seminal vesicles—glands that help produce semen—relates to the amount of time a man has abstained from sexual activity. Researchers believe that understanding this relationship could help improve treatment outcomes for men with suspected prostate cancer. The trial aims to find out if the volume of the seminal vesicles changes based on how long it has been since the last ejaculation. This information could be important for planning treatments like radiation or surgery, as larger seminal vesicles may affect the way these procedures are performed.
To participate in this study, men must be at least 45 years old, speak French, and be scheduled for an MRI to check for suspected prostate cancer. However, those who have already received treatment for prostate cancer or are under legal protection cannot join. Participants will contribute to valuable research that could enhance the care and management of prostate cancer, particularly for older patients who are typically diagnosed at an average age of 70.
