ClinConnect Summary
The CATT Trial is a research study that aims to find out if a smartphone application can effectively help people with tinnitus, a condition where they hear ringing or buzzing in their ears. This app is designed to support therapy and provide helpful information about tinnitus within a blended physiotherapy program. Researchers want to see if using this app is as good or even better than the usual care patients receive in clinics, while also looking at how much it costs.
To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult (18 years or older) who has been diagnosed with a specific type of tinnitus called somatic tinnitus. You should also be fluent in Dutch and able to use a smartphone without assistance. The study is currently looking for participants, and everyone is welcome regardless of gender. If you join, you can expect to compare the app's treatment with traditional care, helping researchers understand the best ways to support those with tinnitus.
