ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the relationship between eco-anxiety—worry related to climate change—and suicide risk in adolescents aged 12 to 16 years. Researchers want to understand how feelings of anxiety about the environment might influence the severity of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in young people. This is important because suicide is a significant public health issue, especially among adolescents, and understanding these connections could help in identifying and preventing suicide risk.
To participate, adolescents must be hospitalized at the Hopital Femme Mère Enfant for mental health reasons. They should be able to speak and read French and not have any severe learning difficulties that would make it hard for them to understand the study. Participants will complete questionnaires to assess their levels of eco-anxiety and suicide risk, helping researchers gather valuable information that could lead to better support and prevention strategies for young people.
