ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how frailty affects certain health indicators, quality of life, and survival rates in men undergoing a surgical procedure called radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer. Frailty refers to a person’s overall health and strength, and the researchers want to understand if being frail has an impact on patients' blood test results, how they feel day-to-day, and how long they live after surgery. Participants will be divided into two groups: those who are considered frail and those who are not, allowing researchers to compare the differences between them.
To be eligible for this study, men must be diagnosed with prostate cancer and scheduled to have a radical prostatectomy. They need to agree to participate by signing a consent form. However, men with other types of cancer or those experiencing acute infections will not be included in the trial. Although the study is not yet recruiting participants, it aims to provide valuable insights into how frailty influences health outcomes in prostate cancer patients after surgery.
