ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Culturally Adapted Suicide Prevention Intervention for Older Adults, is looking at a new program designed to help older adults who are experiencing thoughts of suicide. The goal is to see if this specially tailored psychological intervention can effectively support individuals aged 50 and older who have had recent thoughts about wanting to die or even considering harming themselves. The study is currently recruiting participants who live in the area of participating hospitals and practices.
To be eligible, participants should be at least 50 years old and have had recent experiences with suicidal thoughts. They must also be able to understand and agree to take part in the study. However, those who have serious mental or physical health issues that prevent them from giving consent, or who are temporarily living away from the area, cannot participate. If someone decides to join the trial, they can expect to receive support through a brief program that aims to help manage their thoughts and improve their overall well-being.
