ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called Superior Cluneal Nerve Entrapment Syndrome (SCN), which can cause significant low back pain. This condition happens when the superior cluneal nerve, located near the iliac crest (the top of your hip bone), becomes compressed. Many people with low back pain may not know that SCN could be the cause, as it is often overlooked in diagnoses. The good news is that once diagnosed, treatment for this syndrome is usually effective and can help relieve pain.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between 18 and 99 years old, regardless of gender, and must have a positive test for SCN during a clinical evaluation. They should not have any urgent need for spinal surgery. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo evaluations to confirm your condition and receive treatment aimed at reducing your low back pain. It’s important to know that participants must provide consent to be part of the study and that certain individuals, such as pregnant women or those allergic to local anesthetics, will not be eligible.
