ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on developing a tool called a treatment prognosis calculator, which aims to help identify military service members who are experiencing thoughts of suicide (called suicidal ideation). The goal is to determine who may respond well to standard mental health treatment and who might benefit more from a specific therapy called Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (BCBT). By doing this, the study hopes to better support those in need and improve their chances of feeling better.
To participate in this study, individuals must be active duty service members aged 18 or older, currently receiving mental health treatment, and have recently experienced suicidal thoughts. Participants will receive standard treatment from their healthcare team, who may also be trained in BCBT. Throughout the study, participants will complete questionnaires at different points (3, 6, 9, and 12 months) to share their feelings and experiences. This research is currently recruiting participants and aims to make a meaningful impact on mental health care for service members.
