ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a specific type of antibody called Anti-DFS70 in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), a disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s own tissues. The trial aims to understand how these antibodies relate to a serious condition called lupus nephritis, which affects the kidneys. Researchers hope to determine if Anti-DFS70 can help identify different types of lupus nephritis and assess how active the disease is in patients.
To participate in this study, patients need to meet certain criteria, including being diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus according to specific medical guidelines and being able to provide informed consent. The trial is open to all genders and individuals aged between 18 and 75. Participants can expect to undergo tests to check for these antibodies and their relation to kidney health, helping researchers potentially find new ways to manage lupus nephritis. Additionally, it's important to know that individuals with other collagen diseases will not be eligible for this trial.
