ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how effective core stability exercises are, with and without the use of a pregnancy support belt, for treating pubic symphysis dysfunction (SPD) in pregnant women. SPD is a painful condition that many expectant mothers experience, making everyday activities like climbing stairs or turning in bed difficult. The goal of this study is to understand whether these exercises alone or combined with a support belt can help reduce pain and improve the quality of life for those affected.
To participate in this trial, women aged 25 to 35 who have pain in the pubic area, especially when moving or standing on one leg, may be eligible. Participants will need to meet certain criteria, such as having tenderness in the pubic area and a positive result on a specific leg raise test. Throughout the trial, participants will engage in exercises and come for check-ups to see how well the treatments are working. This study aims to provide better options for managing SPD, which can significantly impact the lives of pregnant women.
