ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how to better treat breast abscesses, which are painful infections in the breast. The researchers want to find out why some patients do not respond well to a common initial treatment called aspiration, which involves using a needle to remove the fluid. By identifying risk factors that lead to treatment failure, the goal is to improve patient care and decide when more invasive procedures, like incision and drainage, might be necessary right from the start.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a new diagnosis of a breast abscess. Unfortunately, those who are pregnant or under 18, as well as individuals who are incarcerated, cannot take part in the trial. If you join the study, you can expect to receive care while contributing to important research that could help many others with similar health issues in the future. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, so there is an opportunity for anyone meeting the criteria to get involved.
