ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well a special type of ultrasound can help doctors see problems in the brains of infants with neurological diseases. The study will also compare this ultrasound technique to another method called transcranial Doppler, which measures blood flow in the brain. By doing this, researchers hope to find the best ways to diagnose brain issues in young children.
To be part of this trial, infants from birth up to 2 years old may be eligible if they have an open fontanelle (the soft spot on the head) and show any signs of neurological problems, such as seizures, changes in consciousness, or developmental delays. Unfortunately, infants with a closed fontanelle or without any neurological signs cannot participate. If your child joins the study, they will undergo safe and non-invasive imaging tests to help doctors better understand their condition. This trial is important because it aims to improve how we diagnose and treat brain-related issues in babies.
