ClinConnect Summary
The CLIP trial is exploring how a tailored plan focusing on healthy lifestyle changes can help lower blood lipid levels, which includes cholesterol, in Indian doctors and their families. This plan combines a special diet, intermittent fasting, regular exercise, better sleep, and techniques to reduce stress. The goal is to see how these changes impact not just cholesterol levels, but also blood pressure, weight, and other important health markers. Research has shown that lowering cholesterol and blood pressure can significantly reduce the risk of serious health issues like strokes and heart attacks.
To participate in this study, you need to be an Indian doctor or a family member aged between 18 and 70 years who is willing to make these lifestyle changes. However, if you are currently on medications for chronic health conditions, using insulin, steroids, or blood thinners like warfarin, or if you are unable to exercise, you may not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in various lifestyle changes over a set period and will be monitored for improvements in their health. This trial aims to find practical ways to improve health and reduce risks associated with high cholesterol and other related conditions.
