ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of two different types of electrical stimulation on people suffering from lumbosacral radiculopathy, which is pain and discomfort that comes from nerve issues in the lower back and legs. Specifically, the trial will compare a newer device called the Neubie, which uses direct current stimulation, to a traditional TENS unit that uses alternating current. The researchers want to find out which method helps reduce pain, improve physical function, and enhance overall patient satisfaction during physical therapy.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and show signs of lumbosacral radiculopathy through specific tests. Participants need to commit to attending weekly therapy sessions for six weeks. However, certain conditions, such as being pregnant, having a pacemaker, or a recent history of serious health issues, may exclude someone from participating. Overall, this trial aims to gather valuable information that could lead to better treatments for those experiencing nerve-related pain in the lower back and legs.
