ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the use of a medication called Nitropaste during chest masculinizing surgery, which is a procedure some people undergo to create a more masculine chest appearance. Nitropaste, which contains a small amount of nitroglycerin, is typically used to help with heart conditions but has shown promise in improving healing after certain types of surgeries. The goal of this study is to see if applying Nitropaste can help reduce complications, such as wound issues, after surgery.

To participate in this trial, you must be an adult (18 years or older) who is planning to have chest masculinizing surgery that includes a double incision and free nipple grafting. Unfortunately, younger individuals, those not having the specific type of surgery mentioned, or people with certain health conditions will not be able to join. If you do take part in the study, you’ll be closely monitored during and after the surgery to see how well the treatment works and how well you heal. This trial is currently looking for participants, and it could help improve outcomes for others in the future.
