ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how to help cancer patients who are facing financial difficulties and other social needs, like struggles with food, housing, or transportation. Researchers want to see if a special program called CostCOM, which provides personal support from a financial navigator, is more effective than just giving patients access to helpful financial information (called FinEd) or the usual care they receive. The goal is to improve patients’ ability to manage their cancer treatment without worrying as much about costs, which could lead to better health outcomes and an improved quality of life.
To participate in this trial, you need to be 18 years or older, have been diagnosed with cancer within the last 120 days, and be receiving treatment at specific oncology clinics. You should also be facing some financial difficulties or social needs. If you join, you will either get the personal support from a financial navigator, access to educational materials, or receive standard care. This study is currently looking for new participants, and they hope to learn how these different approaches can help patients manage their cancer care more effectively.
