ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a specific dental treatment called subgingival instrumentation affects the mental health and stress levels of people who grind their teeth (a condition known as bruxism) and have gum disease (periodontitis). The researchers want to see if improving patients’ gum health can also help reduce feelings of anxiety and distress related to their bruxism.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 30 and 50 years old, be generally healthy, and have both bruxism and periodontitis. However, those with a history of mental health issues or certain health conditions, as well as pregnant or nursing women, cannot join. If you qualify and decide to participate, you can expect to receive the dental treatment and contribute to important research that could improve the understanding of how dental health relates to emotional well-being.
