ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Syncing Screening and Services for Suicide Prevention Across Health and Justice Systems," is focused on finding better ways to help people who may be at risk for suicide after being released from jail. The study wants to connect important health information from jails with healthcare records, so that individuals can receive the right support and care for their mental health as soon as they leave jail. This research is particularly important because it aims to ensure that those who need help can access evidence-based suicide prevention services immediately.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have been released from jail between February 2021 and July 2028. They should also have had a visit to a primary care or mental health provider within the last three years at a participating health system. However, people who live outside of Michigan or Minnesota, need a translator, or have previously opted out of research cannot take part. If eligible, participants can expect to contribute to important research aimed at improving mental health support for those transitioning from incarceration to community life.
