ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help prevent suicide among vulnerable teenagers. Suicide is a leading cause of death in young people, and finding ways to prevent it is very important. The trial focuses on adolescents aged 14 to 18 who may be at higher risk, including those in juvenile detention centers, those who are struggling in school, those receiving treatment for mental health issues, or those who identify as part of a sexual or gender minority. The goal is to see if a short intervention can improve their awareness of suicide, reduce feelings of distress, and lower suicidal thoughts.
If you or someone you know fits these criteria and is interested, participants will need to understand French and agree to take part in the study. They will be randomly assigned to either receive the intervention or not, and the researchers will measure how effective it is in helping these teens. It's important to note that participants cannot be involved in another suicide prevention program at the same time. This study aims to fill a gap in research about how to best support at-risk adolescents, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are addressed.
