ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) affects bone health. Specifically, the researchers want to find out the most common characteristics of patients with this condition and how many of them have low bone mineral density, which means their bones might be weaker than normal. The trial aims to help understand the relationship between SLE and bone health in young people.
To participate in this study, patients must be under 18 years old and have been diagnosed with SLE for more than six months based on specific medical criteria. Unfortunately, those with other autoimmune diseases, active infections, or certain health issues that affect vitamin D levels won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo assessments that will help researchers gather important information about your bone health related to SLE. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into managing bone health in young people with this condition.
