ClinConnect Summary
The ENDOREV trial is studying whether using virtual reality can help reduce anxiety for women who are suspected to have endometriosis during their gynecological consultations. Many patients feel anxious in these situations, and this study aims to see if a digital therapy called Bliss DTX can make a difference. Bliss DTX involves wearing special headphones and a video headset that immerses patients in calming sound and visual programs designed to ease pain and anxiety.
To participate, women aged 18 to 45 who are visiting the hospital for the first time with suspected endometriosis may be eligible, provided they have had some imaging tests like an ultrasound or MRI. Participants will complete a questionnaire about their anxiety, and then they will either use the Bliss DTX therapy for 13 minutes or wait in a room for their consultation. After the appointment, they'll fill out another questionnaire to share how they felt. The study hopes to improve patients' experiences and overall well-being, and participants will also receive a follow-up call six months later to check in on their progress. There are minimal risks, but some people may experience mild side effects from the virtual reality equipment.
