ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to support parents whose teenagers have gone to the emergency room because they are at risk for suicide. The study will test a text-based program that helps parents better understand and support their adolescents during a difficult time. The goal is to see if this program can make a positive difference in the lives of both parents and their teens.
To participate in this study, the teenager must be between 13 and 17 years old and have recently experienced thoughts about suicide or attempted suicide. It’s important that the teen is accompanied by a caregiver, and the caregiver must have a cellphone to receive support through text messages. The study isn't recruiting participants yet, but once it starts, eligible families can expect to receive helpful information and guidance through text messages tailored to their needs. This could be a valuable resource for parents trying to navigate such a challenging situation.
