ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a type of online therapy called Internet-based Affect Focused Psychodynamic Therapy (IPDT) to see if it can help reduce levels of trait neuroticism, which is a tendency to experience negative emotions like anxiety and depression. The trial aims to find out if people who take part in this therapy will feel better compared to those who are simply on a waiting list for treatment. The program consists of 8 online modules that participants will complete over 9 weeks, with support from a therapist.
To be eligible for the trial, you need to be at least 18 years old, speak, read, and write in Swedish, and have mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety or depression. You also need access to the internet and a device like a smartphone or computer. However, if you have severe mental health issues, are struggling with addiction, or are currently receiving other psychological treatment, this trial may not be suitable for you. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to help people manage their emotions better through this new online therapy approach.
