ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to total knee replacement surgery, called the Newton™ TKA Protocol. The goal is to see how this method compares to traditional knee surgery techniques in terms of recovery and overall results for patients. The trial will include patients aged 65 to 74 who are scheduled to have knee surgery at the Kaplan Joint Center, Newton Wellesley Hospital. However, some patients might not be eligible if they have certain medical conditions.
If you participate in this study, you can expect to receive either the standard knee replacement surgery or the new method being tested. Since the trial is not yet recruiting, you’ll have to wait for the study to start before you can join. The researchers hope to learn more about which approach helps patients recover better after surgery, which could lead to improved care for future patients.
