ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the "Augmented Momentary Personal Ecological Risk Evaluation," is focused on creating and testing a new tool to help monitor suicide risk in young adults aged 16 to 30 who are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide. The main goal is to work together with both patients and healthcare providers to design a user-friendly system that can effectively track and manage these risks. The researchers want to see if this tool is acceptable and easy to use for both the young adults who need it and the healthcare professionals supporting them.
To participate in this study, young adults must be receiving care for suicidal thoughts and be between the ages of 16 and 30. They will need to download the tool on their smartphones and use it for two months, during which they will complete three online surveys to provide feedback on their experience. It’s important to note that the study is not yet recruiting participants, and individuals who do not have access to a smartphone, do not speak English, or have certain medical conditions may not be eligible to take part. This study aims to improve the way we understand and manage suicide risk in young people, making it easier for them to get the help they need.
