ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a substance called Interleukin-23 in patients who have Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), particularly those with a related lung condition known as interstitial lung disease. The goal is to understand how levels of Interleukin-23 in the blood might relate to these patients' health. If you or a family member have SLE and also experience lung issues related to this condition, you might be eligible to participate in this study.
To join the trial, participants must be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have a diagnosis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus with interstitial lung disease. However, people with other chest problems, those receiving certain antibody treatments, or anyone taking strong immune-suppressing medications will not be able to participate. If you choose to join, you will help researchers learn more about how this substance affects individuals with these specific health concerns, which could contribute to better treatment options in the future.
