ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well children with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) can move and perform different physical tasks. The study will include 25 boys, aged between 6 and 16 years, who are diagnosed with DMD. They will be evaluated using specific tests that check their balance, running speed, coordination, and strength, as well as their lung health. The goal is to gather important information that can help understand how DMD affects motor skills and breathing.
To participate in this trial, children must have a confirmed diagnosis of Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy and be able to walk, either independently or with help. They should also be able to understand instructions to use a special breathing device. However, children with other medical conditions affecting their thinking or brain function, previous surgeries that could influence their lung function, or certain spinal problems will not be eligible. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into the challenges faced by children with DMD.
