ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at ways to help adults who have recently been in the hospital for suicidal thoughts or attempts. The main goal is to see if a combination of quick digital messages sent to their smartphones and extra sessions with a clinician can help these individuals manage their feelings and reduce the risk of suicide. The study will compare people who receive just self-monitoring on their phones with those who also get helpful reminders and support from a clinician.
To participate in the trial, you need to be at least 18 years old, own a smartphone, and have been hospitalized due to suicidal thoughts or attempts. If you join, you will create a personalized safety plan before leaving the hospital, track your thoughts and feelings on your smartphone for four weeks, and fill out some questionnaires during that time. Depending on which group you are placed in, you may receive automated messages, extra sessions with a clinician, or self-guided online tools to help you cope. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather important information to better support individuals at risk for suicide.
