ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the relationship between a specific index called the systemic immune-inflammation index and the activity of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), as well as a serious kidney problem that can occur with lupus called lupus nephritis. The goal is to understand how this index might help in assessing disease activity in patients with SLE. The trial is currently looking for participants aged 16 and older who have been diagnosed with SLE according to specific medical guidelines or who have confirmed lupus nephritis through kidney biopsy.
If you or a family member are considering joining this study, you will be evaluated to see if you meet the eligibility criteria. It's important to know that people with other autoimmune diseases, certain cancers, severe liver or kidney problems, active infections, recent blood transfusions, or specific nutrient deficiencies will not be included. Participants will contribute to important research that could improve understanding and treatment of lupus. Throughout the trial, you can expect regular check-ups and monitoring related to your condition as part of the study.
