ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called PRECISE, is focused on finding better ways to prevent suicide by personalizing treatment for individuals who are at high risk. Many people who experience suicidal thoughts have different needs and challenges, and this study aims to tailor interventions specifically to each person. The researchers will use real-time data about the participants’ feelings and thoughts, along with established techniques from therapy, to create a customized plan. The trial will compare two approaches: one that provides a basic level of personalization and another that offers a more intensive, detailed approach over eight weeks.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be between 18 and 65 years old, currently experiencing suicidal thoughts, and able to communicate in English. They must also agree to share contact information for someone who can help with safety planning. During the trial, participants can expect to engage in assessments at different points to track their progress, and they'll receive support based on their individual needs. Overall, the goal is to help individuals learn better ways to manage their emotions and reduce suicidal thoughts, making this a vital step toward more effective suicide prevention.
