ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called thermal ablation for patients with lung cancer. Lung cancer is a serious health issue, especially in Egypt, where it is one of the most common and deadly forms of cancer. The researchers are exploring non-invasive techniques, specifically radio frequency ablation (RFA) and microwave ablation (MWA), which use heat to destroy small tumors in the lungs without needing major surgery. These methods can be guided by CT scans to ensure they target the tumor accurately, making it a safer option for those who may not be healthy enough for surgery.
To participate in this trial, patients must have lung cancer that is smaller than 5 centimeters and may have other health issues that prevent them from undergoing surgery. However, patients with larger tumors or more advanced cancer stages, as well as those who cannot handle the procedure, would not be eligible. If you qualify and decide to join, you can expect to receive this innovative treatment, which aims to help manage your cancer with less risk than traditional surgery. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and everyone is welcome to apply, regardless of gender.
