ClinConnect Summary
The "Climate Change Awareness" trial is studying how an educational program can improve nurse managers' understanding of climate change and its impact on healthcare. The goal is to help these professionals make better decisions that benefit both the environment and the health of their communities. This study will involve 108 nurse managers from two hospitals in Istanbul, with half receiving the educational program while the other half will not.
To participate, nurse managers must work at one of the selected hospitals and have at least one year of management experience. They also need to agree to take part in the study and complete both a pre-test and a post-test. Before the educational program starts, participants will fill out questionnaires about their background and their current knowledge of climate change. After four weeks, those in the educational group will take the post-test to see if their awareness has improved. This research aims to create effective training programs for nursing leaders, helping them to incorporate environmental awareness into their roles.
