ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to manage pain for patients undergoing total knee replacement surgery, specifically those with knee arthritis. The researchers want to see if a combination of four different pain relief methods is more effective than the current standard approach, which combines a specific type of nerve block with an injection around the knee. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it will include both men and women aged 65 to 74 who have knee arthritis and are planning to have surgery.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be adults who can give their consent to join the study and do not have any major issues that could complicate the procedure, such as a history of knee surgery or certain medical conditions. Those who are pregnant or involved in other clinical studies will not be able to participate. If you join the trial, you will receive either the new pain relief combination or the standard treatment, and researchers will closely monitor your pain levels and recovery process. This study is important because finding better ways to manage pain can help improve the overall experience and outcomes for patients after knee surgery.
