ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different types of tourniquets (devices used to control bleeding) affect blood loss and surgeon satisfaction during total knee replacement surgery. The goal is to find out if one type of tourniquet is better than the other in helping surgeons perform the procedure while minimizing blood loss and improving the surgical experience.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be adults aged 65 to 74 who need a total knee arthroplasty (knee replacement surgery) and have received approval from the anesthesia department for their surgery. However, people with open wounds or infections in their legs cannot participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your surgery as planned, and your experience will help researchers understand more about the best practices for this common procedure.
