ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether a special water-based exercise called Liuzijue can help children and teenagers who have childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (C-SLE), a long-term autoimmune disease that can cause serious health problems. Because this disease often starts young and can be more severe than when it begins in adults, researchers want to see if this gentle, water-based exercise can improve health and possibly reduce long-term complications like heart disease, which is a common concern for young people with C-SLE.
Children between the ages of 7 and 15 who have mild to moderate disease activity (meaning their symptoms are not too severe) may be eligible to join the study. However, those with certain serious health problems, like brain or heart rhythm issues, severe muscle or joint problems, or serious kidney or lung inflammation, would not be able to participate. If you take part, you can expect to engage in the Liuzijue exercise program in water, which is designed to be safe and manageable even for those with physical limitations. This study has not started enrolling patients yet, but it aims to find a new way to support children with lupus in staying active and healthy over the long term.
