ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether listening to white or pink noise—types of soothing background sounds—before and during a colonoscopy can help reduce pain and anxiety. A colonoscopy is a common medical test used to check for problems in the colon, like cancer, but many people find it uncomfortable or scary. The study aims to see if these calming sounds can make the experience easier and less stressful for patients.
Adults over 18 who speak, read, and write Turkish, and who don’t have hearing problems or certain medical conditions, may be able to join the study. People who take anxiety or pain medicines on the day of the procedure, have psychiatric or neurological illnesses, or prefer to be fully asleep during the colonoscopy will not be included. If you participate, you would listen to white or pink noise before and during your colonoscopy while the medical team checks your colon. This study hasn’t started recruiting yet, but it hopes to find a simple way to help patients feel more comfortable during this important health screening.
