ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to perform surgery on the windpipe (trachea) and the area where it splits into the lungs (carina). Usually, patients are put on a breathing machine with a tube during these surgeries, but this study is looking at whether doing the surgery without that breathing tube (called non-intubated anesthesia) is just as safe and may have some benefits during and after the operation.
Adults between 18 and 80 years old who have airway diseases confirmed by special scans and camera exams of the lungs may be eligible to join. To participate, patients need to be in generally good health without serious heart problems, uncontrolled infections, or other major health issues. If you join, you would receive either the usual surgery with a breathing tube or the new approach without it, and the doctors will carefully watch how you do during and after surgery to see which method works better. This trial is currently looking for volunteers who meet these criteria.
