ClinConnect Summary
This study is designed to help people who take care of loved ones with a feeding tube called a PEG, which delivers nutrition directly to the stomach. The goal is to create and test a training program, including a mobile app, that teaches caregivers how to provide better care, feel more confident, and reduce the stress that often comes with this responsibility. The study will first find out what caregivers need most, then develop educational materials and digital tools, and finally offer the training to see how well it works.
If you are an adult caregiver (18 years or older) caring for someone also 18 or older who has had PEG surgery, and you can use a smartphone and communicate easily, you might be eligible to join. Participants will be asked to take part in the training program and share their experiences to help the researchers understand if the support helps improve caregiving at home. This study is not yet recruiting, but it hopes to make life easier for caregivers by giving them useful knowledge and tools to manage PEG care with more confidence.
