ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether watching educational videos online before gallbladder surgery can help reduce feelings of fear, anxiety, stress, and sleep problems. Gallbladder stones are very common, and many people need a surgery called laparoscopic cholecystectomy to remove them. While this surgery is less invasive, patients often worry about the procedure and what to expect afterward. The goal of this study is to see if giving patients clear, easy-to-understand information through videos can help them feel more prepared and recover better after surgery.
Adults who are having this type of gallbladder surgery for the first time may be eligible if they speak Turkish, don’t have chronic illnesses or mental health treatments, and can use a smartphone. Participants will watch the educational videos before surgery and will be monitored to see if this helps lower their stress and fear. This study is not yet recruiting, but if you meet the criteria and agree to participate, you’ll receive support to better understand the surgery and how to care for yourself afterward, which might help you feel calmer and heal faster.
