ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether playing immersive games can help reduce anxiety and improve cooperation in children aged 4 to 12 years who need to have extra teeth (called supernumerary teeth) removed under general anesthesia. The researchers want to see if using interactive games and fun activities before surgery can help kids feel less scared, follow instructions better, and make parents feel more satisfied with the care their child receives.
Children who take part will be randomly placed into two groups: one will get the usual care, and the other will get the usual care plus access to these special games and activities designed to make the experience less stressful. Parents will be asked for permission before joining, and the study will carefully measure anxiety through both questionnaires and physical signs like heart rate. The trial has been approved by an ethics committee to ensure it is safe and respectful. Although the study is not yet recruiting participants, it will include boys and girls within the age range mentioned who are scheduled for this type of tooth removal.
