ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new way to help doctors choose the best medicine for people with autoimmune rheumatic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and gout arthritis. These conditions cause the immune system to mistakenly attack the body, leading to pain and inflammation. The study is testing a special lab test that looks at a person’s immune cells from a blood sample to predict which disease-fighting drugs (called DMARDs) will work best for them. The goal is to find the right treatment faster, so patients feel better sooner and avoid trying multiple medicines that might not help.

The trial is open to adults aged 65 to 74 with a diagnosis of one of these rheumatic diseases. Participants will provide a blood sample, which will be used in the new test to guide treatment choices. This approach is designed to make treatment more personalized and effective while reducing the time and costs involved in finding the right medicine. If you or a loved one has one of these conditions and fits the age range, this study might offer a promising way to improve care.
