ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to treat a serious heart condition called acute type A aortic dissection, which means there is a tear in the main artery coming from the heart. The trial is comparing three different surgical methods for repairing this tear. All patients will have a major surgery called total arch replacement combined with a special tube graft called a frozen elephant trunk. They will be randomly assigned to one of three groups that use slightly different techniques and temperatures during surgery to protect the brain and other organs.
People who might be eligible for this study are adults diagnosed with this type of aortic dissection and who are receiving treatment at one of the participating hospitals in China. During the trial, participants will have surgery and then be followed for one year to see how well each technique works and how safe it is. Doctors will check for serious problems like stroke, kidney failure, or paralysis, and also look at how long patients need machines to help their heart and lungs or how long they stay in the hospital. This study aims to find the safest and most effective way to perform this complex surgery to improve recovery and outcomes for patients.
