ClinConnect Summary
The Cardiology Biobank Registry is a clinical trial aimed at understanding cardiovascular diseases better. The researchers are collecting information from around 12,000 patients who have undergone procedures like cardiac catheterization or who are dealing with heart failure. This data will come from various locations, including hospitals, community events, and local health clinics in the Atlanta area. By analyzing this large amount of information, the study hopes to identify what factors contribute to heart conditions like coronary heart disease, heart failure, and strokes, as well as to explore better treatment options.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and currently facing cardiovascular issues, such as heart disease or heart failure. You should also be in good enough health to handle a simple blood draw or cheek swab. However, people with certain conditions, like significant anemia or active cancer, may not be eligible. If you join the study, you’ll help researchers gather important data that could lead to improved prevention and treatment of heart diseases in the future. It's an opportunity to contribute to important medical research while receiving regular care for your condition.
