- • ventral hernia requiring elective surgical repair
- Exclusion Criteria:
- • no written informed consent
- • 'hostile' abdomen; open abdomen treatment
- • contraindication to pneumoperitoneum
- • emergency surgery (incarcerated hernia)
- • parastomal hernia
