ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on creating a detailed brain map, known as a physiological brain atlas, to help improve treatments for conditions like Parkinson's Disease, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Dystonia, Essential Tremor, and Epilepsy. By collecting and organizing important data from patients undergoing certain brain procedures, the researchers aim to enhance the effectiveness of treatments like Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), which is a therapy used to help manage symptoms of these conditions.
If you or a family member is between the ages of 6 and 90 and has been recommended for a stereotactic brain procedure, you may be eligible to participate. This includes anyone who has agreed to undergo such a procedure. Participants can expect to contribute to a valuable research effort that could lead to better treatments for various neurological disorders. It’s important to note that those who are not suitable for the procedure or who cannot provide informed consent will not be included in the trial.
